Topic: Wont Recognise Samsung Smart LED TV

hello I have a 40" Samsung Smart LED TV and Flingo wont recognise the device. on the samsung TV I have gone into Smart Hub and have downloaded the Fling Queue App to the TV and started the app up and when I put http://flingo.tv/fling/discover no devices show up and if I even try http://flingo.tv/fling/clear that just says truein thebrowser and then when I put http://flingo.tv/fling/discover in the browser, agin it wont find the samsung TV. - I have sucessfully flung videos though to a western digital WDTV box though. It just dontr seem to work with my samsung smart TV which is what I want to use rather than the WDTV box. - the rest of the internet Items work fin on the smart hub of the samsung TV so its not a network problem. Thanks for any further help you can give me to try.

Re: Wont Recognise Samsung Smart LED TV

Per the engineer at flingo, Samsung Smart TVs are not currently supported for flingo. Sounds like the WDTV is the best way to go for now.

Re: Wont Recognise Samsung Smart LED TV

thanks, I wonder why make the fling queue app available for the Samsung smart TV downloadable if they are not supporting Samsung TV's?

Re: Wont Recognise Samsung Smart LED TV

hmm this is strange - now today when i put in http://flingo.tv/fling/discover i get this now:

  "count": 1,
  "yourip": "",
  "interval": 900,
  "devices": [
      "model_id": "Samsung-SmartHub",
      "_id": "51922a947ea1eca14cf7b905",

but when i try to fling from youtube i get the message we found no fling devices found on the network!

I also found this article today written in october 2012 :

By pressing the Fling bookmarklet (yes, bookmarklet) in your web browser tool bar, you can send the video to any device on your home network that has the Fling Queue app. Devices that have the Que qpp include D-Link's MovieNite media player, Netgear's NeoTVs, Vizio TVs, Western Digital media players and Samsung Smart TVs
